Today we would like to inform you about some of the latest news on SHIP.

The German Federal Environment Ministry and the Federal Ministry of Economics have agreed on key principles in the regulation of fracking. Additionally, the German Federal Environment Agency published its second report on the environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing.

A comment by Dr. Bernd Wiese regarding a recent publication on fracture high limits has been published on SHIP.

A new expert article by Prof. Dr. Horst Rueter is now available on SHIP. The presented article deals with induced seismicity in the context of wastewater injection in the United States.

• Induced seismicity linked to wastewater injection is said to make up around 20% of total seismicity within the USA.
